It can be an efficient tool to create a base for further work. If is have to choose between a programmer slaving away for weeks or months to build a solid framework, or an ai doing it in a few hours, I’d pick the ai, since it uses less resources. The programmer is better applied at working out the kinks and specifics.

polotype@lemmy.ml 5 days agoThere is no good use for LLMs and media generation as a whole, because none of the possible uses justify the costs of making these tools.
Expert programs (patern recognition, protein folding, speech generation) on the other hand, go right ahead.

I think those expert programs get labeled as ai anyway. Then the laundry thinks they can just ask any llm “how do I cure cancer”
