The DSA, including AOC and Bernie to a (far) lesser extent, are becoming the caricature that fox news pretended democrats were. They endorsed not voting in 2016, 2020, and 2024. Mamdani is doing some great stuff, but endorsing some almost ML/tankie people who don’t support Ukraine and essentially think the US could never and has never done any good ever.
Then they hide behind “guys we just want healthcare and workers rights” whenever they’re criticized, which is just co-opting democrat messaging so they can shield themselves behind democrats and pretend their positions aren’t so extreme.

The dsa? They explicitly suggested not voting for Biden. I can give you an interview of the current DSA leadership saying as much.

Stated that the US had a hand in the Ukraine invasion by “bullying” Russia, a foreign adversary who was likely instrumental in Trump being the president right now. Actual Russian apoligia is legitimately insane. Also supports abolishing prisons, rather than just making them not for-profit and punitive rather than reformist.

True we haven’t pursued diplomacy with russia we just sent weapons to Ukraine and didn’t say a word to Russia. It’s just absolutely ludicrous and the interviewer himself points it out, and she just essentially says :3 well not enough diplomacy!
