Does each household order 100 packages a year? Damn
Comment on Amazon executives are enraged about a Mamdani proposal

A study commissioned by an Amazon-funded group found that the regulations could increase the cost of delivery by as much as $5.20 per package, or $664 annually per household.
This is such bullshit. There is no reason that it has to cost more for the customer, it only means Amazon makes less profit. Jeff Bezos could simply make slightly less income, and it might mean it will take an extra year or two to reach trillionaire status.

In NYC, many people use Amazon’s Whole Foods Delivery. It’s a LOT cheaper than Trade Fair or Key Foods, and they bring it right to your house. So 100 deliveries a year is every 3-4 days, not that weird.

Or, alternatively, stop fucking using Amazon and go to the store? Like I don’t get how that’s a debate.

Folks can have a problem with going out in public.
I get severe anxiety around other people and deal with bipolar episodes.
While I do suck it up, mainly cause money is tight, we shouldn’t be grudging the people who aren’t strong enough to suck it up.
Some folks aren’t built like that. In fact, no one person is built the same. There is and will always be something different about all of us.
Just ask yourself this. Would you want to be forced into a situation where you didn’t want to do something because it hurts you mentally? Then, someone wanted to take away the one thing that helped you with that thing? Wouldn’t you feel beaten down and like you don’t matter?
Is that the world we want for each other? None of us matter to one another? Nobody is important? We’re all main characters now, and if I can do it, you can do it to type of people?
Not me brother. I’d much rather live in a world where anything can be delivered to your house if it means folks can live a more peaceful life. All we want is these rich fucks to not be so goddamn evil.

In NYC, Whole Foods is much cheaper than retail.
