      Primary energy includes everything: oil used for cars, coal used for steel production. The article is only about electricity and the comment was about wind power making up the majority, which it is very close to doing.

  One problem is a lot of wind power is generated up north, but a large majority of electricity consumption happens further south and the grid infrastructure isn’t equipped to transmit all that power that distance

  I’m sure it was Simon Clark who talked about this in a video, but I can’t find the exact one at a glance
