Fun fact: a handful of sparklers get hot enough to melt aluminium pipe.
Source: once made a smokebomb that way that ended up melting halfway through.

Yeah but my worry would be that it only affects part of the pole on the same side. So it will be damaged and weather faster but won’t compromise it.
