I never met Hercules, if he actually existed, so I can’t objectively tell if Hercules would have been less blinded by the current zeitgeist of the time than Sorbo.
I can’t objectively tell if Hercules would have been offended by Sorbo’s depiction of him because Sorbo was too progressive or too conservative for Hercules, but I bet it would have been a mix of both, if Hercules was a real person.
