captainlezbian@lemmy.world 2 weeks agoI’m amazed that people keep trying to make evs loud rather than marketing the quiet as a selling point. Run an ad of a man quietly slipping out to get an anniversary present after he forgot or not waking his baby or something like that. These companies are great at manufacturing desire, I believe in their ability to do it for this

Exactly, the quiet is the best part. Allegedly my EV is quieter on the road than a Rolls-Royce.
Sometime around 2020 they made a rule that they had to make some kind of noise. My car is older than that, and I have startled enough cyclists to understand why its needed.
