A lot of events like this not this one but a lot boil down to English centrism like that Shiitake issue or the Quebec website who went by the acronym cum.

Yeah I remember playing Fortnite back in high school and asking a friend if he could play via the in game chat. The problem was that I wrote “Kunt ge?” so the whole thing got censored

I’ve seen USians complaining about our word for black people, ignoring that calling someone black (like the color) used to be as offensive to us as the N word is to them, while our equivalent to the N word was the non-racist option. Older people who haven’t caught up with recent trends might still find referring to people as black offensive.
