But generally it goes both ways, you donât think managers are jaded from being burned by shitty workers?
My point is that everyone, on all sides, could benefit from seeing each other as a bit more human.

Itâs because bad managers are so common. Thereâs a saying that goes âpeople donât quit jobs, they quit managersâ, thatâs how common it is.

I really donât like that phrase because leaders use it as a way to abdicate their responsibilities and pretend like the shitty environment they created is someone elseâs fault. There are for sure shitty manager out there (and some people quit because of them), but I think the focus on management is a red harring distracting us from the shit show that is happening at the top. Letâs agree to be angry at the executives. đ

I think itâs both, managers are part of management anyway. They arenât (typically) front-line workers.
