Fun fact about the term “Jerry can”:

British gas cans in ww2 sucked and everybody knew it. German cans stacked neatly and so British soldiers would steal them, and eventually reverse engineered and produced them. A slang for Germans at the time was a “Jerry”, thus, making the stolen German gas cans and their design, a “Jerry can”.
