The spiciness level in some places is really insane. My wife is Indian as well, but she doesn’t tolerate very spicy food. I handle it a bit better, but some of the stuff her brother eats would just leave me crying in pain, and again a day later.

In restaurants when they ask which spiciness level we want my wife usually asks if they mean Indian spicy or if it has been adjusted to the country we’re in before making a decision.
