He threw the controller at the wall and broke it so he doesn’t know how to shut the console down. He can never remember which of the nondescript buttons on the front effect the disc vs shutdown the system. He is scared of ejecting the disc because it reminds him of the jack in the box toy he used to play with. So instead of trying to figure that out, he just wrote the console’s name on a piece of paper called blocklist and taped it to the door of the room. Now the console can’t get out. Now he’s safe from the console.
