True. But it’s not quite comfortable to use. And it lacks good mobile apps. I guess, there only are Raccoon and FediLab, but both have serious UX problems.

In theory, it’s perfect, and just what I think the fediverse should be, but it’s terrible to run as an admin.

Yeah. It feels like software from a previous generation that has cool functionality, but just doesn’t have the usability it needs to be the center of a daily fediverse experience

But it has so much potential! Really overhauling the UI would make a huge difference.
My last attempt to make a go with Friendica was friendica.world. Even with just a few thousand users they couldn’t really get it to scale. It was laggy or throwing off errors regularly and sometimes unusable for days. Just a rough experience. Although that was a while ago now and I’m not sure about the state of that server. Who knows, maybe they figured it all out.
