Just googled it and no, they don’t do that.

Do you have a source for that? Sony says they take 30% cut. You pay via revenue share of a cur of game sales and not recurring maintenance costs.

So nope. Sony being anti consumer isn’t because of their licensing agreement here. They take the same exact split that steam does for the same reasons. They don’t pay for download hosting on the PS store or steam store except for that 30% revenue split.
