I agreed when I bought a disc that I could resell. I agree when I buy on steam because I know I’ll always get to download the game still (at least until Gabe dies and the console people get their greedy paws all over the company)
More people game on steam than any other digital store. You know, the one who still let’s you download the games you purchased no matter what. So by that logic majority HAVE chosen.
And let’s see PlayStation’s numbers in 5 years after they make this decision. I bet you’ll see a lot more people making their choice.
When you buy it on PlayStation or Xbox they say “fuck you and that money you paid us the publisher delisted it so instead of letting you still play it we delisted it to” it isn’t the piblishers or Devs that choose this anti consumer practice, or else steam wouldn’t be able to do the right thing and let you still download the license you bought.

Console is already getting their lunch eaten by mobile… People don’t give a shit.
Also, Steam will go away one day. And your blu-rays won’t work in 20-30 years either…

Steam will go away long after PlayStation or Xbox will and I’ll likely be dead by then.
And actually, my discs WILL still work because I rip them and save the contents because I’m not letting some shitty company take my shit away.
I have had a few discs degrade that I had to get rid same with books but I just downloaded a pirated copy of both with absolutely ZERO remorse because I already bought the media once. I should be allowed to access it privately for 80 years because I paid for it.
Steam is the only store that let’s this still happen. You are right that steam will change soon (Gabe dies) but even the smoldering ashes of the largest video game storefront in the world will outlast PlayStation and Xbox by miles.

You big delulu bro…
You’re so culturally illiterate you can’t see past your western European garden wall to the broader world around you.

I noticed you didn’t have an answer to burning Picasso’s or other artists work after they die.
Why?
Someone bought it from them but should that have given them the right to hang it on their wall until they die? They didn’t paint it. Picasso can’t make money off of it anymore.
Should that purchase have been taken away on expiration of the creator?
