You don’t see the difference between a parent deciding this for their child vs. the child doing it themself?

I don’t follow, sorry. This isn’t an argument about consent, I’m fairly certain most governments place limitations on the ability of children to consent to many things.

I’m asking why are we starting to accept and realize that the internet isn’t a safe place to even post family photos, but simultaneously at odds with implementations that would keep kids away from it?
