REDACTED@infosec.pub 3 days agoIf that would be true I’d not be getting excellent zone in my concrete jungle. You’re thinking of short-wavelength (mmWave) 5G which is rarely used (mostly in dense population areas like event venues), but most utilized towers run on similar frequencies as 4G.

Well maybe it’s not the blocking then. But my experience has been getting 5G signal for 3 seconds, my video deciding to up the streaming quality to 4K, then losing the signal and the video buffering for 5 seconds as my phone regrets its choices. Having set it to prefer 4G I no longer have any issues.
