A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 1 day agoI’ve seen videos of people like Atomic Shrimp post videos of 1 dollar a day meal challenges and stuff, and I was always absolutely gobsmacked by how cheap vegetables, flour, etc were in the UK, even when the price is converted to USD.
They’re paying pennies everywhere I pay dollars.

Tbh doing it for £1 now would be difficult to make videos on. Not because you can’t but because compared to when he started there is less choice.
Only so many ways you can cook the same or similar ingredients.

he still does cooking videos, just not like " feed 2 people 3 meals for 1 dollar" videos.
