I mean, yes, but the DSA has had a problematic and interesting history (I say this as a former member/member at large). And it’s important to remember that they’re not a political party and can run no candidates themselves (which would never work if they tried), so their best bet is to try to turn the DEEEPLY entreched liberal Democratic Party, which is like pulling teeth.

i’m curious cus i only really know about their present day stuff and not even much about that

Ohh, a few years ago there was a series of (verified) SA and harassment allegations levied at some of the national leadership, around the same time there was a pretty big controversy surrounding the misappropriation of funds donated my members and also membership dues, and for this reason the Libertarian Socialist Caucus largely dissolved and left the organization. It was a whole kerfuffle
