Also a friend has left me a bunch of toiletries (long story) and encouraged me to use them. I am scented today with Fleur de Peau and it is absolutely exquisite.

  I looked it up, the full phrase is “à fleur de peau” which literally translated means “on the flower/bloom of the skin” but is closer in meaning to “emotionally vulnerable/raw/just beneath the surface”. It’s a play on words to do with emotion and fragrance applied to the skin. Quite cool.
