AFallingAnvil@lemmy.ca 1 week agoThat how I thought until I got a non-gamer girlfriend and have found great joy in sharing the games that brought me joy. She’s slowly transitioning into a bit more of a gamer and we get to play games I always wanted to check out from past ages or revisit old favorites. We’re a little over halfway through Uncharted 3, when we finish that series (new to me as well) we’ll return to Assassins creed, which I loved back in the day.

That sounds lovely! If I ever get a partner (and they’re a non-gamer that is open to getting into gaming) then that sounds like a delightful thing to do together.

Its been quite fun, the secret has been letting her play as much as she wants and being the backup if there’s a difficulty spike on easy that she struggles with. I feel like I understand my older brothers perspectives on gaming with me growing up a bit more now.
