chiliedogg@lemmy.world 2 weeks agoThat’s not true if you have bad enough credit or are a migrant worker. There’s an entire check cashing industry based on taking advantage of people who can’t get bank accounts and charging outrageous fees.

Lots of banks specifically cater to people with bad credit and banking histories as well. Here is a Forbes article about them with a list.
