It is of course a running joke, other than Tammy 2 there is no reason to hate libraries so much. Do you think viewers took it seriously?

Seriously? Of course not. However there are subconscious / subliminal effects in all forms of entertainment, especially Television / movies. Tell a vision, (television) programming the human mind. TV channels (channeling; spells).

Gonna have to disagree with you there. I’ve binged the whole series twice and I love libraries. In fact, I can’t even remember anything from the show about libraries at all.
Now that I think about it, I fucking hate Indiana for some reason. I’m sure that’s completely unrelated though
