The feds have literally admitted to entering online spaces and doing exactly the things you’re talking about while pretending to be leftists. Cointelpro never ended.

Just sit back and watch the world burn. It’s all we can do sometimes. I don’t have much fight left in me.
Cast your vote and cross your fingers hoping enough people see reason. Maybe we’ll get a pleasant surprise? I’m cautiously hopeful about these midterms.
Other than that, all I can really do is argue with people on the fediverse. It’s not much, and I don’t expect to convince the people I argue with. But if I can show a few bystanders another perspective which makes them think for themselves and come to their own conclusions, then maybe just maybe it’ll be enough to combat just a sliver of the concerted disinformation campaign that’s already done so much damage
