Well that’s the fun part, due to conservation of energy and momentum and all that jazz you at no point separate from your legs. You step forward first and step upwards and now you’re entire body is moving forwards AND upwards, miraculously.
I never thought about how jumping works before and now I’m sure I’m going to over think it and fall on my face after reading all this
