Probably, although I could see a case where this could be real: they’ve made repairs to the boat and want to test it’s keeping water out and so just put it in the dugout instead of hauling it to a proper body of water. Not sure why they’d have the mast up though, unless I guess the mast step or something with the stays was part of the repair being tested.

I think the right hand side of the picture has a hill in the foreground. The lake continues behind the hill.

Good catch, this could be a little piece of a much more credible larger body of water, we just can’t see the connection from this angle.
