I’ve done “boy shorts” before. A lot more work than thongs. But it’s really more about people not knowing the difference between knitting and crocheting. It’s like giving someone who loves metal a Winger CD but it turns out they are a blacksmith.

Is that the boy shorts or the thong? Never seen any of those in a knitted version, so I have no idea what to expect
Boy shorts. Thongs have a very different geometry.
