Passerby6497@lemmy.world 1 week agoCapitalism has the opposite problem. If there are no rules surrounding what industry is allowed to do, they will always choose the most profitable thing.
That’s a lot of words to say that capitalism fails because the systems that manage it are corruptible.
It’s not at all the opposite problem, it’s just a different flavor of the same one. Capital infests the bodies that govern it to remove regulations that limit what capital can do, leading to the problems you mention. Not sure why you think the two situations are at all different.
