Rooskie91@discuss.online 2 weeks agoI didn’t like how they replaced the “snap a quick pic” mechanic with a “sit down and pres a button over and over again to draw a scene” aspect of the second one, but the stories have all been good.

was insane though. Definitely threw me through a loop.

The writing is by far the best, too. It’s a bit cringe in a clever, “yeah, I was definitely cringe in high school too” kinda way. No super painful moments, just fun/funny and sometimes mega dark. The games get more and more painful as they go on… the second game was blah, true colors was mostly pretty painful dialogue- and story-wise, and Bloom and Rage was hilariously bad, like comically horribly bad. All of the characters were horribly written and had insanely bad dialogue.
I really need to play Before the Storm! I’d also happily replay the first game… I played it near when it came out, with my partner. We both really enjoyed it.

Before the Storm is probably the leash bad out of call of them, but probably because it wasn’t made by Dontnod IIRC.
But really thats just calling it the shiniest of the turds, or first place loser. LiS has never matched the peak of the original game.
