Comment on There Has Never Been an Example of Presidential Corruption Like This

You guys realize we had presidents when we were genociding the natives…
Right?
Like, “manifest destiny” was a real thing that really happened…
trumps the most corrupt president in “modern” history, but when our country is less than 300 years old, it’s really all “modern history”.
He’s just the most corrupt president anyone alive has lived thru, still a big deal but a big reason we’re where we are today because people don’t know shit and just vote on vibes.
trump is the cough from a disease, we can’t afford to just take cough medicine because the cough is annoying, we need to fix what’s causing the cough. We don’t have time to keep treating symptoms while ignoring the disease: rampant unregulated capitalism.
Fix that and we just don’t fix trump, we fix all the symptoms that are fucking our lives up.

These were terrible actions but not really “corrupt”, afaik they did what they were voted in to do.

I’m not gonna put all the time in to explain why morals are not the same as laws and corruption can be legal…
But wanted to at least say that’s something you need to understand before jumping into any conversation about corruption or morality.
Like, by your own logic trump ain’t corrupt, because unregulated capitalism has controlled our country for decades and no one is currently stopping him.
I’m just going to get way too frustrated that you don’t understand that yet if I try to explain it. I sincerely hope you figure it out tho.

I’m not talking about legality, not sure where you got the impression that I was. I’m talking about broken promises. Trump claims he’s going to drain the swamp. We both know he’s full of shit, but that was the claim. Now maga has to square how wealthy he and his friends have become over the course of his presidency. Did, for example, Andrew Jackson ever run on the claim he’d protect Native Americans human rights before signing the Indian Removal Act?

You did actually ask a question this time so:
Yes, Jackson’s campaign platform was basically Trump’s, and the result was even worse.
Jackson also said he would “drain the swamp” and reduce federal corruption and just instilled more. Naming expanded federal lands.
And that was wildly divisive, it was not what all Americans wanted, just a loud minority.
It’s fucking exactly like today in a lot more ways than I’m bothering to type out, because it almost assuredly going to be a waste of my time.
Because like I said, if I keep trying to explain things to you, I’m going to get frustrated with you. And I just don’t have the motivation to help you when even this short exchange is annoying.
Ask someone else, I won’t see anymore of your replies.
