Yeah, as a Canadian I’m pretty glad I don’t live south of the border. Things are a little better up here but the cost of living to income ratio is worse so the US does have that going for them.

MnemonicBump@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 hours agoReally? Because even before Trump, things were sliding into authoritarianism around here pretty quick. Maybe pre-9/11 USA? But honestly, that was our biggest period of economic exploitation of developing countries. As long as I’ve been alive, I cannot think of a single time my home country has been a good guy on the international stage.
