I haven’t looked into it yet. I’m just making basic reel style videos. The auto transcription saves a lot of time, but I almost think I end up taking as long going in and tidying them up

You can even set up a locally run LLM through Kdenlive for transcription. I’ve set it up on linux, but maybe I should do it again to save myself a few hundred bucks

I use Shutter Encoder for a lot (basic trimming etc)… have you heard of his other product Shutter Transcriber? It’s literally a packaged model with a GUI and it’s about 10 EUR if I remember correctly. I can’t vouch for it but Paul that makes it is a good dude and is active on reddit for bugs and features.
(I’ve tried to set up models locally but 1. my laptop has an AMD GPU and running the raw models generally prefers/requires Nvidia and 2. I only know enough to get started but not what to do when I hit a brick wall with Python dependencies etc.)
