thingsiplay@lemmy.ml 1 week agoWith that logic all other stores should break new records too, not just Steam. Just because the entire population of humanity grows, does not mean that everything in the world grows too. Especially with the current economy in the world.

No, it’s just not exciting or worth talking about every day.
Do you go into work or school every day and pronounce that population of the world went up again?
Steam is free and doesn’t cost money, that logic doesn’t work the same.

No, because I do not care about that.
As said, other stores are free to install and yet they do not grow like Steam.
I will post and talk about new peaks and its interesting what discussions this brings up sometimes. Even this our very discussion how useful or useless it is is interesting to me. No one forces you to talk about subject you don’t care.

You mean exactly why this hasn’t been brought up? You seemed surprised people weren’t talking about, you have your answer now. You answered it yourself.
People just don’t care, for reasons stated above, you’re free to do what you want. But don’t act shocked when people are identical to you with the opposite view?
