Because they realized optics don’t matter anymore/base is insane enough they can get away with it.
It’s almost like asking why fast food places are increasing pricing so rapidly while still saying they can’t pay people more/raising minimum wage would kill their industry. Just a distraction to help further their goals

Maybe you should take your own advice and reread my question. If voting doesn’t matter, why would the GOP go into overdrive to stop it?
