You know not everyone is evil, right?
I know that candidates who refuse to stop selling weapons for an ongoing genocide are evil. It’s explicit in the phrase “lesser evil.”
Im sure we agree on a lot, but this trying to pin genocidal love on people is very annoying
I mean, you don’t have to keep defending candidates that support genocide. But as I said before, the comment you’re replying to doesn’t even mention genocide. The top-level comment it’s in response to doesn’t mention it either, and neither does the comic that the top-level comment was in response to.
None of this changes my assertion that second worst is not enough to win. That’s not purity testing or encouraging people not to vote. That’s looking at the strategy employed by the democrats and pointing out that it failed. Doing the same thing next time will also fail. The party needs to change. The electorate won’t.

Im not and havent supported or defended pro-genocide people. My original point is that you cant magically fingerwaggle a perfect person into existence. Stopping excess damage with a person we can actually speak english to at a level above a kindergardener, and can be reasoned with via protest if necessary.
Not insane people are probably easier to talk to, yeah?
Being so abrasive makes others want to vote less. You are actively making people less likely to vote.

I’m tired of the insinuation that anyone who wants “not shitty all the time” is demanding perfection.
No matter how much contempt you have for the voters, they’re still the only voters you have to work with. The electorate just showed you that second worst loses.

“Not shitty all the time” is still not comparable to Trump. He literally sits in his own shit. The electorate was successfully stopped in multiple ways, including the explosion closer to the election about Palestine. Propoganda was used to push it crazy hard due to its volatility being so popular (in terms of clicks/views/whatever). I still stand by the point you probably wouldve held which is that we can protest to change minds. Larger protests against Harris and the USA as a whole continuing to support a genocide would have been more effective for keeping democracy around a little longer. We wouldnt get shot in the street for dancing in costumes or be consideres terrorists for protesting for LGBTQIA+ rights, as well.

It doesn’t need to be. It just has to be bad enough to keep enough people home. Second worst loses.
Maybe centrists should have joined in instead of shrieking abuse at the protesters.
