It looks like some people still feel the need to interact with OP, but seem to be capable of doing so only in very negative or aggressive ways.

Not excusing the behavior because it’s not right, but I think a core problem of this the platform. This place seems to be too small for that to be effective. The majority of the people on this site might not want to see something, but if a small group does then their activity is enough to push it to the front page anyway.
