yep, all of my “career” jobs have been gotten through referral or direct recruitment from my network of former co-workers. All of my BS application/interview experiences have been for the sort of job that just needs a warm body in the seat.

I have never gotten a job from referral or recruitment. I think I might be too autistic for that.
