not completely. the deck had a lot of time to get trackpads and steam input right.

because by that logic steam controller 1 and steam controller 2 are also completely different devices and your past experience is inapplicable.
or we can accept that it was valve’s first foray into making hardware and they probably learned a thing or two in the last 10 years. don’t quite understand how you can overlook what I’m saying

The disconnect seems to be that you think because modules have been installed in the deck, that somehow contributes to the build of the controller.
And that’s where I don’t agree.
