I dunno… I never got into the apps, so I may not be the best judge, but this kinda seems like a lot at once for someone who’s an introvert that was bullied and has anxiety issues.
I would definitely ask more probing questions before agreeing to meet anywhere, and definitely in public, and I would definitely inform a friend.
On the other hand, if it’s genuine, this could be really sweet and nice opportunity to mentor our a young fledgling queer.

When someone says they’re interested in meeting to see if a friendship forms, a tactic I used to use was to see if they are okay with one or both of us each bringing a friend along.
Their reaction will reveal a lot about their intentions. It’s also a good way to ensure safety.
