My new budget tracking spreadsheet has worked, both the bank and I agree on how much money I have. There were a few initial glitches where I set up some calculations wrong but it appears to now be working. I was resisting changing to the spreadsheet instead of multiple bank accounts to track everything because of the hassle factor, but now that it’s done I think it is actually an easier system. It will also make things much more coherent for the bank when I get to the stage of applying for a loan. Just one bank account with minimal transactions instead of 23 with constant transfers back and forth.
