Comment on Why is 'Philippines' spelled with a PH, but 'Filipino' is spelled with an F?

  When it become a US colony they changed it.

  That was printed on maps. The people still referred to themselves with the original spelling.

      King Felipe in Spanish.

      Philip in English.
