I think everyone missed the actual greentext part and focused instead on the snarky comment, but there are, in fact, multiple cities in the world (including the US) where a significant number of people live on houseboats. Many large cities with a significant amount of waterways offer this option, such as Amsterdam, Hamburg, or Seattle. It’s sadly usually not cheap and comes with a number of drawbacks, but it IS possible.
