What makes the Bible such a great tool for controlling the masses is that you can take out of it whatever message you want and it’ll be valid and defensible. While at times Jesus was straight up communist he also said

But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a scrip; and he that hath not, let him sell his coat, and buy a sword.

That’s not even counting all the unhinged violence in the OT
