This won’t answer your question; however, I would recommend using Ecosia. Good results, and you help to plant trees. I think is quite fair. Plus, you won’t pay a monthly fee.

Just a disclaimer about Ecosia: Due the fact they source their search results from Bing and Google, as per their agreement with them they do share some of your information with Google and Microslop. If privacy is a concern or if you just want to avoid those companies then I would give Ecosia a miss.

Yeah I used to use ecosia but stopped for this reason. I’m not like 100% I need everything private, but I’d prefer to not have my info going to google and microslop. I still use ecosia if I’m like on my work computer though and need to search something

Hopefully their team effort with Qwant to build their own search engine is finished soon.
