Including our police and fire department?
Fuckall with that, there’s no good reason for a freight train to fucking park on the tracks and block multiple intersections for over half an hour.
Like fuck, the train finally moved and is clear now for the past 10 minutes or so, but they still haven’t raised the caution gates, so everyone is just driving around the lowered arms right now.
Shit’s fucked up yo.

I imagine the rail system existed before firetrucks were a thing, though, not sure where you’re from. You have to hope they’d have a contingency plan for things like trains. Maybe a comms platform that told them not to go that way? (kinda like how Google maps will route you around a slower section of road)
I get it’s frustrating, but it’s definitely better than a hundred transport trucks

Oh, funny you’d compare it to just rerouting traffic.
The parked train literally and completely blocked off our entire community, for over half an hour. No detour whatsoever, if an actual emergency would have happened during that time, they would have had no other option than to send in a helicopter.

Again, train was probably there first, but is it the trains fault or the city planners for cutting off a community like that? I agree, that sounds incredibly dumb. I always joke and say “the people who make these decisions don’t actually live here” so they have no idea what they are doing, but it’s becoming less of a joke now

At least the transport trucks are moving and not fucking literally parked on the tracks and blocking all traffic…

I guess you’ve never driven on highway 401 lol

No, just Interstate 10, seven miles in Reverse…
I’m sure you’re curious why, so short story…
That was right after Hurricane Katrina, we went West to go check on my mom, but hadn’t gotten the news yet that the Eastbound lane of Interstate 10 had collapsed.
Welp, my dad was driving then, and we both looked over and saw the collapsed bridge, so we both basically said FUCK, and put it in reverse and drove slowly backwards to the onramp we entered from. There was no other way back…
