- There’s no guarantee your exported data will be entirely (or partially) compatible with the destination app
My migration from 1Password to Bitwarden was both of those things.
Vendor lock in doesn’t mean it’s impossible to move. It means there’s a huge burden to move.

Thanks for your contribution. I had to import and export passwords from google chrome to Mac passwords and then back again, and it was just a few clicks. Not difficult at all.
