    Thanks. RE your question, i’m down for discussions but i’m not sure why those threads would need to be pinned or other special treatment. Am I OOTL on lemmy suppressing self posts or sthg?

      It’s more about people being able to find them. If you look at old.reddit.com/r/movies/, they have one pinned thread that links to the current discussion threads.

      We cannot do this on Lemmy, as links are instance-dependent.

      Creating the threads without pinning them would mean they would get lost quickly. Pinning them all would clutter the community.
