The electric drumkit has arrived š Elder saved his Xmas and birthday money plus all of his pocket money for an electric drumkit so he can practise with headphones on and not bother anyone (and also heās learning so heās shy). He saved the money and then asked me if he could get one, how could I say no š„¹ Great effort for a 13/14 yo, very proud ATM.

Thatās really exciting. Electric kits have so many features like lessons and metronomes as well. Once he gets the hang of things he should dig into presets and more of the weird settings they can use

Heās very excited š He and his dad are putting it together currently. Itās not a very expensive top of the range kind of one (he wouldāve liked something better) but I said you can try it and play around with the features and start to get an idea of what things you like or want as features, then get something else later down the track. Itās a good starter kit and I wanted him to have that pride of having saved for something and got it.

One tip with the cheaper kits is put something heavy in front of the kick drum. He might end up moving the whole set as he plays otherwise because they can be a bit flimsy
