Two: They didn’t pressure Cuomo to back out. In fact some endorsed him. nbcnews.com/…/democrats-called-andrew-cuomo-resig…
Three: The lack of support, and they actively funded Cuomo as well. cnbc.com/…/mamdani-cuomo-nyc-mayor-bid-billionair…
They didn’t want Madami to win for whatever reason and were fine with Cuomo essentially trying to split the vote which may have resulted in a Republican win.
