emeralddawn45@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 days agoI would much rather pack my shit and get out than have to wait for the elderly/drunk/high school cashier to do everyone’s groceries and then do mine too. What a fucking waste that is. Plus I always had my own bags even before they stopped giving away the plastic ones, and I don’t want to have to explain to a cashier that yes everything will fit in that bag you just have to do it right.

I found the grocery packers would pack as fast as the items were scanned. I don’t like packing, and I’m usually slower than the cashier, so I don’t go to cashiers anymore.
Since I have to pack my own shit, I go to the self checkouts where I can pick at whatever rate I feel like.
